It was a struggle to transfer my JFW authorization to my Libretto. I ended
up using interlnk, the DOS 6.22 driver. I was told by a programmer friend
who knows everlock that everlock communicates directly with a standard
floppy drive controller, which the Libretto does not have.
I took a real chance buying my Libretto -- it might have not worked, but it
was my money and my risk. If you have a lot of these machines, you might try
to get an "official" solution from HJ.

Here's something you may want to think about. At the tech center, we have a
Toshiba Libretto. For those of you who don't know, this is a palmtop
computer, really small, 166mha with either 16 or 32 mb ram. We are testing
them as alternatives to Braille N Speaks. This particular unit has an
external floppy drive that is accessed through what seems to be a pcmcia
type card. We hooked up an external parallel port CD-rom drive to install
Jaws on it, but the authorization will not transfer from the floppy. I have
the theory that it is due to the special nature of the floppy interface and
JFW's inability to work with such a specialized interface. Has anybody
tried this on their own? What about portable computers that have external
floppy drives? I believe that this combo won't work if this is the case,
but maybe one of you had better luck and can tell me what this is all about.
