Hi all
OK, I'd like everyone who is using any of the following to check their
settings to make sure that html messages are not enabled.
Outlook 98, outlook express and eudora pro
Instructions on how to make sure html is off and plain text is on, are
below.
I still have to get instructions for pegasus mail and netscapes mail. But
these should cover most of the packages everyone is using.
Outlook 98
1. Start outlook 98.
2. Alt+t, activates the tools menu.
3. Letter o, activates the options multipage dialog box.
4. press ctrl+tab twice.
5. You should now be on a field that says "Send in this message format". Use the up
and down arrows to change this to "Plain text".
6. press shift+tab to get to the apply button, press it. shit+tab twice more to get
to the OK button and press it.
outlook express
1. Start outlook express.
2. Alt+t, activates the tools menu.
3. Letter o, activates the options multipage dialog box.
4. Control+tab once, you will be on the mail sending tab.
5. On this tab the first item is a group of two radio buttons labeled as
mail sending format. One is plain text, the other is html. You want to
make sure the plain text button is checked.
6. Use the tab key to move to "Reply to messages using the format in which they were
sent" item, Make sure that this is unchecked.
7. Move to the apply button and press enter, then move to ok and enter.
Eudora pro 4.x
Note, this is not for eudora lite.
1. Start Eudora
2. go to the tools menu by pressing alt-t
3. then options by pressing o
4. You are now on a list of categories, move up or down until you find "Styled Text"
5. Tab twice, you should now be on a set of radio buttons.
6. Use the up and down arrows to change the selection to "send plain text only"
7. press tab again, you should be on "ask me each time", make sure this is unchecked.
8. tab to the ok button and press enter.
Regards Nick
