I think you have to change the permissions on the com ports so that people
other than the admin can acess them.
I could be wrong since I don't use jfw nt, and perhaps somebody out there
could have more info?

Subject: Problems to run JFW NT
Hello everybody.
We installed JAWS 3.2 for Windows NT with an ABT3 series connected to COM1
and encounter some problems.
The ALVA braille display can only work if we log onto the network with the
administrator rights. As soon as we log on with the user features the
braille driver cannot be run.
Is there a solution to this problem?
Are there special rights to be granted to the user and if so, what are they?
I am very sorry if this topic has already been discussed but I am an
occasional subscriber.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Kind regards.
