Yes.  JFD will run just fine on a 386 computer.  I ran it that way for years before I 
got into Windows.  Just keep in mind 
that JFD is a very bad memory hog, so you should take advantage of the computer's 
upper memory if possible.  I would 
also recommend that you install DOS 6.22 on that computer, as its memory management is 
far better than that found in 
DOS 5.
