I've seen very few fax programs that do *NOT* behave in this way.
What's more important to me is receiving and OCR'ing incoming faxes
and filing them appropriately. I'll tell you right now, for all its
wiz-bang advertising and features list, WinFax Pro is a nightmare.
Its OCR isn't all that good, and its filing system is cumbersome to
use. Of course, once you find the fax document you want, it's easy to
print or OCR-scan it with the built-in OCR software, just press the
right tool bar button, but most of what I receive is hand-written
which kind of blows the OCR out of the ring, and it's not that
accurate even on the typed stuff.

Just one person's unhumble opinion.
