I use an HP in my classroom at school. it is a pentium 166mhz with 64mb
ram. it operates slower and has more problems than my gateway 2000 pc at
home. my PC is a Pentium 133 with 64 MB RAM. it also uses a cheep
soundblaster. when using the volume control, you don't here slight
increases in sound volum, it jumps about 10 times in the volume slider.
it is like having the slider for looks when it could be a lot smaller of
a sliding scale. that wouldn't matter much except I am an audio-file. I
would not buy a stereo with that kind of volume control.
