Some of you have been having a real headache trying to set up your new
computer with jfw.
I am going to take the time to tell you what works for me.
My pc is a pentium ii, 333mhz with a 3dlabs permedia accelerator video
card.
the hard disk is 6 gig, and the memory is 64 mb
The soundcard is a pci64 legacy device, manufactured by Creative Labs LTD
folks in case you're wondering, no! I do not recommend this soundcard be
used in a dos environment.
The soundcard is set with the share lpt interrupt option turned off
The system is equipped with windows95c
the video settings are set to 1024 by 768 pixels, with small fonts.
Pattern=none, wallpaper=none
microsoft direct-x version 5 is installed. Power management is disabled.
a 32 speed cdrom is also installed.
A lot of jfw list members are from the us, so if you guys out there know of
a computer shop in your area which custom builds pcs for you, ask them to
build your computer like mine, if ever you're thinking of getting a new
computer.
Eloquence and jfw work quite nicely too.
