You only need to put the address in the To: field if you are sending a
message to the list yourself. If you are replying to someone elses
message then you do not need to put anything in the To: field. One
other thing, if you choose Reply, in most emailing software you will be
placed in the main body of the message. So you can jusst type your
response. The To: field is already filled in for you.
