Hi; I am a Quality Assurance Engineer at Real Education, Inc., and am researching tools that will enable us to provide full access to our web sites for the blind. I have gathered that JFW is probably the most popular screen reading software today, and have been testing that on our sites using Internet Explorer. Our sites are online universities that attempt to provide all services a college student would find at the 'real' university. Hence, we use chat rooms for lecture halls, online examinations, threaded discussions and so forth. Most of this is uses java and proprietary applications we have written for that. My question to this list is: can anyone provide some general feedback on using the web with JFW. I know this is a broad question, but I'm looking for pet peeves and those "why do web designers always do this" type questions. I am familiar with the WAI's guidelines, and we are reviewing them now, but the experiences of people who use JFW regularly will be invaluable for our tests. Thanks in advance.
