Never heard of chartware, but I can help you some with naturallyspeaking,
but not under NT. Firstly, y7ou will need to get Natspeaking professional,
since in order to make jfw work, you will need to install naturallyspeaking
scripts. This can only be done with the professional edition. You can
obtain professional fromDragon directly, this cannot be bought in stores.
In addition, you cannot use the cheaper versions of natspeaking, like
preferred. You must have a version that will allow you to write scripts for
Dragon. In addition, you will need some scripts for JFW. I think there are
scripts on the HJ web site. You will also need a pretty powerful system. At
least a pentium 2 with 128mb ram, and a good sound card. You will also need
a hardware synth since eloquence or access32 will further bog down the
system and could cause potential sound card conflicts. You will also need a
better microphone than the one included since a better microphone will
produce better recognition and really high end microphones have filtering
to filter out background noise. It is an expensive system. I don't know
what you transcription program does, but naturaly speaking probably does it
already. With natspeaking pro comes dragon dictate classic which is now
relegated to command and control of the computer, not dictating a document.
If you can get pat all of this, please let me know what else you need. We
haven't done much beyond this, but I have worked pretty extensively with
naturallyspeaking and can get you through a lot. We haven't even begun
talking about training, and the other pitfalls of dragon software yet.
Bottom line: if your client has the ability to use his hands at all for
typing, he should do it, because the system I am referring to you is
cumbersome at best.
