When nethack runs under windows it runs in dos mode. The qt2 interface may change this behavior but I have to research that one further. As such, cursor location in the game and where jfw thinks the cursor is located don't always agree. I find it necessary to be using the jaws cursor to read the level around me since the speech doesn't come up automatically like it does if you're all the way down on the dos level before you play the game. When you exit nethack if you're still alive to exit nethack with uppercase s followed by lowercase y you've got to hit the close button since nethack which is an msdos application nh322pm.zip to get back to windows desktop. - Visit the jfw ml web page: http://jfw.cjb.net
