Hi all.
This thread was covered about 2 weeks ago but I am still having problems,
only they have become more severe.
Advice was given on this list the norton anti-virus was the cause of disk
activity. I shut down the auto-protect feature and have removed nav from
the start menu yet I am still pleagued with some piece of software looking
for minutes on end at a: drive which is usually empty. The software tries
so hard to find a disk that the pc is unusable until the search has
completed. The time interval seems to be about 2 to 2.5 hours between
attempts.
another lister suggest that placing the jfw authorization disk in the drive
when this commenced and removed it soon after would fix the problem. In
my case it hasn't worked and now instead of being returned to my app, my pc
lockup with nothing written to the faultlog file.
I am very suspicious of jfw, since this problem never occured while I only
had Winvision installed. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem and
further what the cause might be. Please help, since I am finding this
situation untenable.
