Hi Walter and listers.
I was looking at some settings in the MS-DOS properties screen, and I
discovered some other things that might prove useful to other listers.
First, hit ALT-SPACE to bring up the MS-DOS context menu. If it doesn't
appear, you might have some settings to change. I don't have an MS-DOS
shortcut to try this on, but get to the properties of your shortcut and look
at these settings.
Under the PROGRAM tab, go to the advanced button and hit ENTER. there are
two check boxes in particular to look at. I don't remember the exact
wording, but you want DOS to execute Windows commands, and you want DOS
suggested as needed. I don't think this will affect JFW, but it won't hurt.
Now, hit OK on the ADVANCED TAB if you made changes, and go to the MISC
tab. Here are some settings that will definitely affect JFW.
Look at the shortcut keys. Make sure they're checked. One of these keys
happens to be ALT-ENTER. If it's not checked, it would explain what's going
on. ALT-SPACE is another. In other words, if it's a Windows shortcut,
you'll be likely to find it in this list.
Hope this is useful.
