Hi listers. First I must apologize for sending a private message to Jeff re: his suggestion that findpath could be causing the pc lockup. He was write and I have removed it from the startmenu. Thanks also to everyone who replied with a suggestion. Screen readers and which one is the best. Hmmm, well I use both jfw and winvision97, I also have a demo of we and swb which I use from time to time. It comes down to horses for courses. Jfw can do a lot which some of thers can do too, but they are not as flexible. the downside of course is that if you are going to use jfw optimally you encur a penalty in the learning curve. Every person who buys a screenreader should be informed about the benefits and disbenefits of owning that one over the others. I think that the nfb published a survey last year indicating that the majority of blind windows users have two screenreaders. The reason given I believe was access -- not the database. Let us remove such an iffy topic from the list as it is not constructive and takes up unnecessary bnad width. Btw, I downloaded and installed a script for eudora and now I get an unknowen call to insert. Anyone know about this? Regards to all, especially those who help.
