I played with this demo a bit. Their are key strokes you can use to
adjust the right and left ends of the selected region and to play the
selected region. It has been too long and I no longer recall what they
were. But, there are major accessibility problems there, some of which
even I, as an aggressive scripter, don't see a way around. But, since I
prefer off-board effects rather than computer generated ones, I didn't
try that hard. I find FastEdit to be much easier to control. I can edit
with atomic accuracy with FastEdit. But it doesn't do the reverb stuff.
Some of cool edit's menus were totally nonstandard as well.

I am told that sound forge has gotten a lot better though I have not
tried it myself. It may be worth another look. But, there is probably
opportunity for at least some scripting anyway. The problem often is
that the mouse is not usually the only way of doing something. But, it
is the only method described in the help. For example, in many sound
editors, they tell you to click the mouse on some part of the graphical
wave form to position the cursor. But, there is often a series of
numbers which represent seconds or minutes into the recording above or
below the wave form; kind of a ruler. Sometimes, if you click on a
number, it will position the cursor to that time.
