Hello Lsters.
As part of a 450 MHZ machine, recently purchased, I bought a Sound Blaster
AWE128, PCI card. Although I have never heard Eloquence sound so clear and
precise, didn't think it possible, I am unable to get system sounds that
precede speech. I get very few such sounds, no matter when them come, for
that matter. Of course, I have allow wave sounds set to on. If anyone has
any experience with this new card and its rather complex setup, kindly drop
me a line if you have any suggestions. I am able to return this card in
exchange for a different one, should I find it unusable with soft
synthesizers and system sounds.
