Tips too use Outlook 98

1. Maximize the calendar window. You may need sighted assistance because
there is an icon that I couldnt access with JFW.
2. Set a frame to read the calendar date. I am enclosing the file for this
purpose. You may accomplish two things with this file:
a. By pressing insert-z you will read the current date.
b. By moving the cursor keys (right, left up and down arrow)JFW will
announce the current date, provided that JFW says (day view). This means
that JFW is not reading any appointment.
3. To read each appointment press the tab key. JFW announces one of the
appointments (it does not always announces the first appointment of the day)
so you must tab several times until JFW say view day). After the first
appointment announced by JFW you must press in addition to the tab key the
insert-up arrow. This would allow JFW to read each appointment. I dont
know why the tab key is not sufficient. If somebody knows how to correct
this problem, please let me know.
4. To add a new appointment press control-n; in the subject field write the
name of the person. Press alt-m to insert the date (e.g. 3/19; if your
appointment is within the same month just write the day: 19). Press the tab
key once to move to the start time field. And insert the time
5. To change the date place the cursor on the appointment you want to change
within the main calendar windows. Press control-o to open that appointment.
Press alt-m to go to the date field. Press tab one more time to change the
time. If the new appointment is set for the same time you may ignore the
last step.
6. You may use the control-c command to copy an appointment that you have
with the same person the following week. You must first highlight the
appointment and then copy it to the clipboard. Then press control-n and
paste in the subject field. Press alt-m to place the date and tab one more
time to change the hour if necessary.
7. Use control-y to display a list view of the different options within
outlook 98.
8. Go to the contacts window and then go to view (alt-v). Then go to the
current view submenu and select the address cards option by pressing the
enter key on it. Go back to view and select customize. From the current
view submenu. In the sort option press enter and select sort by file as.
Next go to the other settings option )in the customize option) and press
enter. On the card with field write 140. This will allow you to have one
contact per line.
9. Regarding the task windows do the following:
>From the current view menu within the view menu select simple list. Next go
too customize and press enter. From the fields option select the fields
that you want see in the current view. I use only subject and date. Next
in the sort by field, choose by date. In this way you may read each task
by first pressing the tab key and then downing with the down cursor from
appointment to appointment. You may use control-n to enter a new task if
you are in the task window or control-shift-k if you are in another place in
Outlook.

I hope you find this information help. Please keep in mind that these are
tentative suggestions and therefore yoour feedback will be appreciated.
