What a bad experience for you!
Your post made me think about HJ's disks. I wonder if it would be possible
to make these "Read Only" - in fact to have no means at all of writing to
the disk - so that nothing can be passed to it.
You may all shout "No" to this one. (One or two comments will be enough.)
I say this, though, because Dr Solomons Antivirus Toolkit (if purchased on
CD-ROM) comes with its own disk for checking your system is clean and this
cannot be written on.
I am not wanting to open a can of worms here so have changed the subject
line anyway; but if it's at all feasible then I'd think of suggesting it
to HJ.
I know some people have added extra files to their Authorization disk, and
maybe you wouldn't want it for that reason, but I can't really see a need
to do this specifically. (Another disk could well be used for storing your
ID number etc.)
