This afternoon, while running Dell Diagnostics, I contacted HJ about the possibility that I might lose an authorization key. A very courteous representative checked that one out, and assured me that I could safely run that diagnostic. He then added, however, that one must be extremely cautious about using diagnostic utilities such as Norton, since (as he put it) Norton and other such programs tend to assume that hidden files are viruses, and to deal with them accordingly.
