I also use Eudora Pro 3.05 & have the same dinging & repeating problem
reading a message from the outbox. I have found if I click the left mouse
button anywhere in the body of the message the dinging usually stops(not
always)& I can arrow up or down to finish reading the message. I have also
found that the actual mouse has to be clicked, the num pad left mouse
button does not seem to work.
This is not much of a solution but it does seem to work most of the time,
