The Double-Talk LT is a good inexpensive external speech synthesizer. It connects to
a serial port. It is manufactured
by RC Systems at http://www.rcsys.com.
You definitely want to go serial on external speech synthesizers. Very few have
parallel connectivity, and those that do
have no pass through port for your printer.
