try ins+f6 before you do anything else? I suspect something is
oppening that jfw is not seeing. look around with the jaws cursor
before pressing ins+f6 to see if something is occluding the desktop.
failing that, ask a sighted person if you can to tell you what is
happening visually. failing that, take a look at your start up menu.
often, a printer monitor window or other tsr is popped up.
