Yes it is possible. When you run the I.E. 5 install program, the first
screen is the License agreement, which you have to accept in order to
install or download it. Then next screen you have to use the down arrow once
to select Install Minimal or customize your browser. Then press enter for
the next screen. Now use the down arrow key to select the install size, min,
tyical or full. Then tab once and you may select the different components.
Then tab again to the Advanced button and press enter. Now press shift tab
once and press the spacebar to check the checkbox for Download only. Then
tab to the next button and press enter. Now you can select where to install
the file. Then you can tab again and check or uncheck if you want download
the file for Windows 95 and 98 or/and Windows NT.

Hi, I was recently asked if there was a place to download all of ie5
rather than just the set up. I have not found the answer to the
question but have been informed by the original requester that
selecting custom install from the menu after running the setup program
does provide an option to download all first and install later. It is
my surmise that using the setup is done because of all the
permutations of possible things to do here.
