I think we have waited far too long for a solution to the
control+alt+delete problem. And lots of the functions which are new
in 3.3 should have been there a long time ago. JFW claimed to work
with Microsoft Word but is just now starting to actually be usable
with Word. It is still unacceptable to be told the number of pixels a
line is indented. If a line is right justified I need to know now,
not after I press insert+f. The pixel coordinates are not sufficient.
You have to think about how long the line of text is and determine
from that if it is centered or indented with tabs...who knows. And it
might be right justified. Sure, if there are two words on the line I
might be able to quickly determine the line is centered but this is
not sufficient. There are many other aspects of Word 97 which are
largely inaccessible. I'm not going to go into it all here.
If you have both braille and speech you have a fighting chance but not
with speech alone. And the control+alt+del has still not been solved.
And of course, we pay for 3.3. What sense does that make?
And there are many other things which are not what they should be with
a screen reader which claims to be the best and costs so much it
*must* be the best.
