Hi, Vince.  If the drivers and the hardware for the Virtual Mouse are
removed, does JFW speak correctly?  If so, then perhaps there is a hardware
or software conflict like an interrupt, memory, or input/output range.  From
what I just read, you said that JFW loads without speech, will Eloquence
work with the mouse loaded?  If so, perhaps it's a conflict between the Deck
and the mouse.  Just a little brain storming until there is more info,
