I'm copying HJ on this message since I'm having this problem while
using the beta of JFW 3.3.
I wrote a while back about Outlook Express 5 not speaking the number
of items in the message list when tabbing to it. Someone suggested
that it needed to be reclassed. However, I'm not sure I know how to
do that. I tried, but it said I would be overwriting an existing
class and I was afraid I'd make things worse. So, if someone could
please tell me the specific steps for making OE 5 speak as it does in
OE 4 I would appreciate it.
Also, while I'm on this subject, has anyone tried using the Rules
wizard in OE 5? It seems pretty speech unfriendly. The graphics next
to the items which indicate whether they are checked or not do not
speak, even if they are labeled, which they were not originally.
Then, when more data is needed such as specifying an email address,
there's no place to do it. It says something about clicking on the
items in red. Heck of a lot of good this does.
And, speaking of items not being read, the flag for read and unread
messages is not spoken as it is in OE 4. Has anyone found a fix for
this?
I'm quite disappointed. I was under the impression that JFW 3.3 was
supposed to make IE and OE 5 accessible. This is a gigantic step
backwards!
