A friend has purchased a compaq Presareo PC with a 400 MHz processor, 64
MB ram an ATI Rage LT pro video card, 10GB hard drice, and a 40x CD-rom
drive. when I installed JFW frome CD, the setupp.exe program returned the
message ": not a valid Win32 program" well, I knew that was not true, so
when I copied the setup directory over to the hard drive and it went
slower than mallassis in January, I canceled the copy and downloaded the
program from the software download page on HJ's site. that worked great
until the setup was complete. when JFW started Explorer kept perfomaing
ilegal operations and was shut down repeated ly. so I shut down JFW.oops,
blue screen. an exception 0d. any suggestions? this computer has not even
been used but 2 days since it was purchased from the store. my friend
really wants to get it up and running, especially since they purchased
$2000 worth of computer related stuff.
any help would be appreciated.
