file downlaods with ie5

I asked this question before, but don't remember seeing a reply.  How do
people using ie5 know when there file downloads are completed?  It seems
that ie5 doesn't make a noise when the file is complete like ie4 does.  Has
anyone written a script to look for the disappearing ie5 download window on
tasktray or as focus so that a sound could be played when it goes?  Just
some thoughts.
