I'll spare you the whole story, but suffice it to say, that after
my wife bought a Usb based Scanner, and installed it and its accompanying software
(some of which was adobe Type Manager) Jfw stopped working.
After much trouble-shooting (other bad things happened unrelated to Jfw becauswe of
the iffy
nature of Microsoft's support of Usb under Windows95) I finally ran Doctor Jaws and
it reported that Jaws wouldn't operate properly as long as Adobe Type Manager was
active.
It offered to de-activate, and I accepted the offer.
But, eventually, my wife will be back from out of town, and
she'll remember she installed that scanner and probably want to experiment with it.
Is there a workaround or anything I can do to allow us to gracefully switch
Adobe Type Manager from being active to inactive?
Thanks,
Brad Trainham
