I'm getting incredibly slow keyboard response and break-up with jfw 3.2.31
running eloquence or dec-access 32. This is on a pentium 2, 350 mhz, 128 mb
of memory, aand a n 8.4 gb hard drive. Brand new, out of the box, with
nothing else installed except jfw. It's Windows 98.

Does anyone know whether the stb velocity video card with 8 mb of memory
causes conflicts with the speech in jfw or whether I need to tweak anything
in the SoundBlaster Live to make it talk properly with jfw?

I had a sighted person look at the screen on start-up. It looks wierd, with
the jfw icon covering part of the start button and task bar somehow.

JFW seems to do a little better with dec-access 32 than with eloquence,
which isi intolerably slow and broken up. But neither speech synth sounds as
it should.

When I try to use the Braille 'n Speak through com 1, which is the third
synth I have jfw recognizing, the whole system freezes up.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Live long and prosper!
