I do not use that particular program, so can't speak to it specifically. However, I
did use a telecommunications program, Bridge32, and found that the main JFW setting to
tweek a bit is the text out delay under the Advanced settings of Configuration
Manager. The JFW help says that setting this to a non-zero value may cause JFW to
respond in a less choppy fashion. I set mine to 200 and this was the best for my
mainframe.
Your setting might not be the same, but try playing around with this settig a bit.
I did not have to read forms, just an entire line at a time, so a script might be
necessary to read a field as you tab over to it.

I am new to the windows and JFW environment. My employer has furnished me
with this new PC to replace my old DOS PC. As of Friday we can no longer
access the host computer via their DOS telecomunications software. I have
been using this new PC for the past week. I cannot get any audio output
as I tab between fields in ISPF without doing the say current field key
stroke. It gives no audio response when a notification is given for the
completion of a batch job. I use Advantos Passport communications
software. The Host computer operates with TSO and uses ISPf as its
editor. Enough background. My question is how can I get an automatic
audio output when the aforementioned occurs? Also, are there any existing
scripts which well with terminal emulation?
Any advice or suggestions will be welcomed.
