Hello,
I have a similar problem with disappearing system tray icons!
When I use IE5.0, I often get a blue screen message: "Explorer has caused a
GPF in module GDI.EXE". When I click "close", the IE 5.0 closes fine but
when I take a look at the system tray there is only one icon, namely the
volume icon. My sighted partner tells me the icons have *actually* have
disappeared. When I re-start the computer everything is fine!
I have a P233mmx, running Windows 98 and a Diamond Viper Videocard on 8 by 6
and 256 colours. Also occurs at different resolutions and colour depths too.
I am using JfW 3.3.0.22 but this also happened with the beta build 13.
Regards,
Andy

Subject: Disappearing sys tray icons after JFW 3.3 install.
>Hello listers. When I was using JFW 3.2 I had four icons in my sys tray
that I could access with insert+grave accent. Now
>that I have installed 3.3 and use insert+f11 I usually only see two of
those icons and sometimes three, but rarely do all four of
>them show up anymore. All four icons have tooltips. When I go to the
taskbar and use the old method of left-arrowing from
>the clock I don't hear the tooltips for these icons either. I have not
confirmed with a sighted person whether or not they are
>visible, but I sure can't find them anymore after installing 3.3 even
though I know the programs associated with the missing
>icons are stil running. This is happening under win98 with IE4.01 as my
browser.
