I've had some problems with blank lines at the top of messages also and I am
using Eudora Pro 4.0. On my system, there is an additional annoyance. After
<insert-DownArrow> fails, if I press almost any key on the keyboard, I get
kicked into the message menu and have to press the <alt> key to get back to
the
message window. I've just set my text processing option to speak lines and ope
that this will make the weirdness stop.
