Yes. This seems like yet another small, but annoying problem. I fixed it, sort of,
through the modification of one of the IE 5 scripts.
Here is what I did:
1.
Open IE 5.
2.
Press insert-0 to open the script manager to the IE 5 script file, browseui.jss.
3.
Press control-l to open a list of the available scripts.
4.
Choose the script titled AddressBar.
5.
In this script, down arrow to a line that says:
; JAWSCursor()
6.
Press the home key to move to the beginning of this line. You are going to be editing
text, so make certain your PC cursor is active
here.
7.
Press the 5 key on the numeric keypad to make sure your PC cursor is on the ;.
8.
Press the delete key to remove this comment directive.
9.
Press control-s to save and recompile the scripts.
10.
Press alt-f4 to close the script manager.
After this change, the JAWS cursor will usually go to the end of the address bar after
the URL is read. At least, that is what
happens on my system.
