Folks, I have similar problems of others trying to use 3.3022 with I E 4.01
and Outlook4. I was regularly getting an error message that I E had
performed an illegal action, a page default. I was then told in a dialogue
box to close the program. This error message also occurred when in Outlook
4, especially if I tried to write or send an E-mail.Then when I closed the
dialogue box, I would get another error and I would have to click on the
"end task" button. that is if speech had not locked up. An observation, in
JFW 3.2 JFW would lock up when the illegal operation occurred and you could
not read the dialogue box with the error and most certainly I had never been
able to read the end task dialogue box. So now, at least I can read what has
happened to my machine and just before it crashes. Sort of like being there
for the last words. Of course when I click on "end task", the machine locks
up and I have to manually shut down the computer.
Other than that JFW 3.3022 is nice and works well with Word and Quicken.
However, because of this I E problem I am having to run JFW 3.2031 until a
cure is found. I have sent a message to HJ an noted that I have no such
probblem in JFW 3.2 or with the 3.3 beta. My sighted wife has run my
machine without speech and had no problem using I E or Outlook. I have
reinstalled I E 4.01 and JFW 3.3022 twice. I am using a P2 350 mhz Windows
98 machine. John
