I too have had this problem in the past, but as of right now I have not been
able to reproduce it to see what changes have to be made in Word or JFW. I
will try again at work on the other computer and see if I can find the
solution.
For now make sure the view is set to normal, and verbosity is set to
highlighted. I will follow up on this tonight unless there is a solution
posted prior to getting back from work.

Last week there were two of us who asked for help with the over verbose
behavior of JFW in the Word97 spellchecker. At this time I have not seen
a reply on this topic so I will restate the problem.
Restating the problem; when Word97 encounters an error instead of reading
and spelling the error then reading and spelling the suggestion, JFW reads
the entire sentence or phrase to which the error belongs.
I am asking this question on behalf of a beginner JFW/computer user. Short
of having her reinstallJFW3.2 and Word97 is there anything that can be
done?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
