Here is what I did to have that done automatically:
This puts a StopSpeech() function call in the DeleteMessage() script. Since
the StopSpeech function performs the same as hitting the Control key, it
keeps you from having to physically hit that key before deleting the message
and moving to the next message.
1) While in Outlook Express, hit Insert+0 to launch the Script Manager with
the Outlook Express script file, (msoe.jss for OE5, msimnui.jss for OE4).
2) Hit Control+L to get the Script list and hit the letter "D" until the
"DeleteMessage" script is highlighted, then whack Enter.
3) Arrow down to the line that reads "{Control+D}", then hit the Home key,
then the Enter key. This will place a blank line above that line.
4) Hit UpArrow, and type the following onto that empty line:
StopSpeech()
(Note: you can also get that line placed in that line by hitting Control+I
to bring up the Insert Script list.
Start spelling StopSpeech until that function is highlighted in the function
list, then whack Enter.)
5) Hit Control+S to compile the new script and hit Alt+F4 to exit the
Script Manager.
Alt+Tab out of Outlook Express, then again to re-enter--this should have the
newly-compiled script active.
What it does: This silences the current speech before the move to the next
message is invoked. It should stop JFW33.02x from reading the previous
message when the focus should be reading the next message.
You can follow the same steps to add the line to the NextMessage,
(Control+.), and the PreviousMessage (Control+,).
You can also experiment with he StopSpeech function to find the best place
to place it where it will be more effective and efficient. For example, the
ReadFromField gets called by all 3 of the move-to-another-message scripts
mentioned above. You could see if adding it in that script would work
better for your particular setup.
