real player g 2 with jfw3.3

I am having trouble recording with real player plus g 2 every time I try to
record by using the key stroke control r nothing seems to happen.  Is there
some setting that has to be checked.  I am using jfw3.3 and a double talk.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
