Greetings,
Because of using similar names in various e-mail messages, i checked the
item so that IE 5 does not complete the addresses automatically. If I want
to save time,I put the address into Address Book. had no problems upgrading
to IE 5 and Outlook Express 5 at the same time.
Re: Real Networks: I am not good at changing the Equalizer in the G2
Plus and admit I got some help with that one. But by altering the trebble
settings--I have been able to easily use an internal sound card while using
JAWS simultaneously. By altering the characteristics of the sound--and since
radio voices have so much intonation and are a higher pitch than
synthesizer voices--I have no problems using the Real Networks with JAWs
,for example, while reviewing the jfw list. The volume may be identical, but
the voice characteristics are not--so I can distinguish them easily and keep
track.
And finally, thanks to those kind people who wrote me in support of my
very interesting experience with the now famous local computer builder. the
point is with the right help and the right information, one can avoid the
problems I encountered. It took time to find a marvelous local computer shop
with real ethics who helped me out of my jam. By all means, build your own
system from scratch, but do it when you have enough knowledge--which is the
mistake I made. Had I had a honest computer shop, I would have been
fine--because I did have help from a good friend. butthe issue is that local
builders can repair things. But as much time as I spent checking things out
before hand, I got the "wrong" and dishonest local builder--because
dishonest people often lie and lie real well. So I put my experience into
words to encourage people to go and dare and to hopefully suggest some
methods by which one could avoid problems. (previous suggestion in earlier
message). I found that the famous BBB reports were of zero value--since the
dishonest computer shop had--of course--found a way around that. he had good
BBB ratings because he cheated really well. hence take someone with you.
And for those who wrote me sternly, too bad. i wish I had read a message
like mine before I dealt with the company and I value this list enough to
hope that people can learn from said experience.
thanks to all who helped me work through the Real networks stuff. You
helped me a whole lot
