Greetings to all list members,

I have just joined this list as I am considering purchasing JAWS to run with
my BRAILLEX-2D Screen, the braille display manufactured by Papenmeier in
Germany. I have had the Braillex for several years, and am unwilling to
abandon it, both because of the investment, and because I like it. It is also
extremely reliable. However, since moving to a Windows environment which I
did in very slow stages over several years, I still have a lot of problems
with the Windots software which is sold as the screenreader for this display.
I now understand that JAWS drivers exist for a number of braille displays
including the Braillex, and I'd be interested in peoples' views both on the
general issue of using braille with JAWS, and specifically if anyone has any
views about this particular display and its suitability and functionality with
the relevant drivers.

Many thanks in advance for any help,

Tim Pennick
