Try tapping each of your two Windows keys once, one at a time, then try to
return to where you were and see if you still have a problem. If you've
already tried this, sorry for the redundancy. :-) I've had to do this a
few times myself.
For anyone who cares, here's a brief technical explanation of what is
happening, or at least what I THINK is happening. When you press any key
on your keyboard, including Control, Shift, Alt, etc., a number is sent to
the computer from the keyboard. When you let go of that key, another
number is sent. The computer uses these numbers to figure out what keys
you are pressing and releasing. I believe the "stuck key" problem happens
because the computer, for whatever reason, fails to catch a key release
code. I'm not sure, but I also think it possible that the computer could
acknowledge the press of a key when it was not pressed. This seems less
likely though. I'm not sure if JAWS impacts the frequency of these
"stuck key" incidents.
