thanks for the tip, but i already solved this problem, it seems that
installing win 98 second edition on the 20 dollar version only installs i
e 4 and not i e 5 like commercial version.
so in addition i should have been o k still because i was useing jfw 3.2 at
the time which did not have the browser problem in regular win 98.
so people should note installing second edition from the 20 dollar cd rom
version will more than likely have the browser problem and should get the
patch prior to the install.
remember the problem will ocure with both jfw 3.2 and 3.3 so be aware of
this quirck.
the patch did solve the problem plus several small ones i had with eudora 4.1.
yes it cause the focus problem to appear, but this is no worse than it was
with jfw 3.2 in win 98.
