I'm trying to learn something about script writing from the manual, but I
frankly don't see examples of the kinds of scripts I'd like to write. Can
you tell me if I'm off the beaten track with the following ideas?
1. How about creating a script that will load specific files and programs
at the same time with the press of a letter.
2. A sound indicator to let us know when we're getting close to the end of
a page in our document so we don't have to keep checking the status line or
do extensive page editing afterwords.
3. Allowing us to download certain programs at certain times automatically
without us doing a thing. We might get to stay in bed longer.
4. Controlling our VCRs with computer scripts, possibly from Henter-Joyce.
By the way, the funding issue is serious--after all, the Optacon
disappeared, didn't it?--but let's talk about this on another forum. Can
you suggest one?
