Leonard,
Shortcuts are rather a mystery.  However, I believe they are .lnk files.
Check in your recycle bin and see if there are any .lnk files.
There is a neat little program called "winkey" that will allow you to see
all of your shortcut keys and browse them with explorer, which means you can
delete them.
Unfortunately I don't know the url to get winkey, but use a search utility
to find it, or write me privately and I'll send it to you.
