Here's what was posted a while back by Erik damery concerning the 3.30.26
patch and the 3.31 upgrade.

Greetings all,

Henter-Joyce has been very busy lately addressing many of the comments of
the List serve users and of course the Beta testers, regarding the 3.3
version. While the 3.30.22 release in English has proven to be one of the
most solid products we have released according to the feedback, there were
certain situations and applications that caused some problems and we belief,
for the most part, they are now resolved for the English release. More work
is being done for the European Version and will be part of the 3.31 free
update that will become the release version in other languages. See details
on 3.31 below.

The following will outline what we have made available for download, and our
schedule for delivery of 3.3 to existing customers and new customers that
have been waiting for weeks for delivery of 3.3. At the bottom of this
message, you will find the text of the readme file for the patch and I
encourage you to read this for details as to the differences between 3.30.22
and .25.

How to get the Patch:
All registered users authorized to receive 3.3 must install the 3.30.22
product which has been posted to our Web page for the past couple weeks.
Once this version is installed, we encourage you to download and install the
Patch for 3.30.25. This file is approximately 1.3 Meg and can be found on
our Web Site at the following location:
http://www.hj.com/JFW/JFW33Patch.html
Please note: You must have the 3.3 product installed first. This patch will
not install or upgrade earlier versions of JFW. If you are currently using
JFW in a language other than English, please contact your distributor or
continue to monitor our Web page for details on availability of 3.31 later
this summer.

How our distribution of 3.3 is proceeding:
All SMA holders will be shipped the 3.3 Upgrade packages beginning Friday
this week. Due to the fact that these packages are already produced and do
not allow for another disk to be included, we will not ship the Patch in
these boxes. All users will be encouraged to download the patch or request
the patch on disk at no charge from HJ or your local dealer. They will be
produced and distributed widely beginning Friday as well. Details on how to
order the disk will be available next week. Please wait for that information
before calling.

All new products of JFW 3.3 will include the patch disk within the box.
These shipments will begin to ship by Monday next week. An updated CD with
the patch built in will also be produced over the next several weeks and
once we get those in, they will become the shipping CD of course.

We are continuing to work on the 3.31 update and expect to get that released
during the summer months. All registered JFW 3.3 English users will receive
this replacement CD at no charge as a free update. The exact details of the
contents of 3.31 I will hold off writing at this time but it is our
intention to provide the following in 3.31:
- Improved access to the Web in IE using not only MSAA but greater access
via the MS Object Model and more enhanced Scripting.
- Script sets for a variety of Internet related tools such as Chat Programs,
News Readers, and HTML editors.
- Many improvements to Braille
- Fixes for working with accented characters in other languages.
- Support for Lotus Notes 5.0 using MSAA and extensive scripts.
- More improvements to Outlook 98 and 2000 and other Office Apps.
- Support of certain JAVA technologies demonstrated at CSUN this past March
which SUN is scheduled to released shortly.

Changes between versions 3.30.22 and 3.30.25:

- When in a dialog box, the Read by Sentence or paragraph are now
disabled to avoid problems on controls where the default sentence
and paragraph reading keystrokes conflicted with standard Windows
   keystrokes.

- On certain factory installs of Internet Explorer 4.0 and Outlook
Express 4, Invalid Page Faults sometimes occurred when exiting these
apps or sending messages. JFW has been adjusted to avoid this
   problem in these certain cases.

- When using Internet Explorer 5.0 on pages containing Frames, when
using CTRL+TAB to move to a frame, and then using Insert+F5 to
reformat the frame, the entire page would go blank. This has been fixed.

   Please note:
A problem still exists in IE 5 if you try to reformat a page while the
PC focus is on the address edit combo box. You must move your focus
into the page or into a frame before using INSERT+F5.

- Improvements to Sentence and Paragraph reading have been made. This is
true for SayAll and manual reading.

- Help System Tree Views should now correctly identify books and topics,
and properly announce the level of the tree view when moving up and down
   with the arrow keys.

- Pressing INSERT+F1 twice within a second will now correctly launch the
specific JFW Help topic for the application with focus, assuming one
has been provided in JFW Help.

- We have included a new English translation table for Grade 2 Braille
   that avoids spelling out certain symbols such as = < > { } \ and |.

- The Keymap for the Alva Braille Display has been adjusted so that
   RouteBrailleToActive works.

- The Script functions MoveToWindow and MoveToControl have been fixed. They
now correctly move to windows, even if the windows contain no text.

- Incremental movements of the mouse pointer caused by various scripts in
JFW has been fixed. In previous versions the mouse was sometimes moved
by the number of pixels based on the JFW Mouse Click Tolerance setting.
This was detected when pressing the control key during SayAll.
