Hi, Virgil. With all the new software running, you probably have a lot of
things running in your startup group,e.g. via your start/programs/startup
group. If you're not using things like Microsoft Office Find Fast, Office
Startup, the printer manager status monitor, and all the other stuff Word
installs you might want to take these out of your startup. Memory hogs also
include fonts that load every time windows loads. Deleting out your windows
temp file and temporary internet files and history may help too. After
you've done all that, try a full surface scan using scandisk and do a full
optimization of your hard drive.
