Thanks to suggestions from the list, I upgraded to patch .026 and several
things occurred.

1. Internet Explorer stopped crashing when I tried to close it. This is a
welcome relief.

2. Although it did not correct my disappearing menu bar in Internet
Explorer, restoring the menu did correct this problem. I assume the window
was maximized, and that this caused a problem.

3. Upgrading did bring about a recurrence of a problem I'd been having
previously, but which seemed to disappear with .022. In Windows Explorer,
as you move through the list view, JAWS simply skips files, seemingly on a
whim. You can reach those files if you know what letter they started with
... because you can jump from one file starting with D, for instance, to
the next and the next and the next. JAWS works properly in this mode. But
simple use of the down arrow key yields sporadic results.

Suggestions? The problem did seem to go away at one point, for Windows
Explorer was working admirably for the last few months, but I'm not certain
what I did.
