What's on that floppy? Put in a different, properly formatted and
virus-free 1.44 mB
floppy and you may meet with better luck.

:
: I Just installed WIN98 and JFW 3.3 with Patch (to get to Version 3.30.26)
: onto a brand new C:\ Drive. All is apparently working well except the A:\
: drive hangs the system whenever JAWS is running.
:
: Here is what happens:
: With JAWS running, we launch Windows Explorer.
: With a floppy in the A: Drive , we cursor down to the A: drive in the
: tree-view and hit the Enter-key. The A: drive starts running and the
: contents of A:\ is displayed in the List-view, AND the A: drive continues
to
: run and in a bout 15 seconds the screen turns blue and a message appears:
: Error Reading disk in drive A: Please insert Disk with SN xxxx-YYYY and
hit
: ENTER or ESC to cancel.
: Reinserting the disk and hitting ENTER just recycles to the error
: message.
: The ESC-key does nothing.
: Removing the floppy and hitting ENTER just recycles to another error
: message.
: CTRL-ALT-Del either does nothing or after some time brings up the
"Close
: Program " Box and locks up the machine. Even CTRL-ALT-Del does nothing
from
: then on. Only the RESET Button gets the machine to restart.
:
: What should I do?
