Yes, definitely it is worth creating a set of scripts for JFW/K1000 use for
the reasons you mention plus a few more I'm sure.
Additional functions/reasons for scripts.
1. You could use the DecTalk Express with out the DOS drivers with in and
out of k1000 without having to unload, or change synthesizers, in JFW or
K1000.
2. K1000's dedicated speech engine allows continuous reading accross page
boundries. As it stands currently, when you use the say all command in JFW
to read a multi page document in K1000 speech stops at the bottom of each
page. It would be nice to have JFW detect the bottom of the page and
automatically perform a page down then continue reading the next page.
3. The ability to read the real status line at the bottom of the window in
adition to reading just the message status line.

Hello Olga,
I need to create a set of scripts because I use JFW and the DoubleTalk as
the reading speech. Also, the options menus are a different type than
previous versions, and don't read as well without some reclassifying.
I don't hear the software speech packages as well as I do the DoubleTalk,
and I prefer speech commands I'm familiar with, rather than learning
Kurzweil's commands to read the scanned text.
