at a time, one line at a time, one paragraph at a time, and so on.
Today we have a new one: We tell you how to select from the current
cursor location to the next instance of a particular CHARACTER:
1. Position the cursor where you want your selection to begin.
2. Press F8 to activate Word's Extend Selection feature.
3. Press a character--Word extends the selection to the next instance
of that character!
4. Repeat Step 3 as necessary until your selection is made.
5. Press Escape (this deactivates Extend Selection--but your selection
remains).
This is a great way to use the keyboard to select blocks of text that
can't be defined as words, lines, sentences, paragraphs, and so on.
